What:
Second Annual Catwalk for a Cure® awareness luncheon, honored Houston business leader and sarcoma survivor David Solomon and benefited the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation.

The Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation wishes to thank the following individuals and groups who made the 2005 event a tremendous success.

Honoree: Sarcoma survivor David L. Solomon who made a touching speech at the luncheon recalling his very personal experience with sarcoma.  Mr. Solomon ended in thanking his many friends and exceptionally loving family for their unconditional support, love and friendship. 

Mr. Solomon serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer of The Redstone Companies. Mr. Solomon has also served as an executive officer and director of numerous entities that are affiliated with Redstone and/or its predecessor entities since 1989. Mr. Solomon serves on the Board of Directors of Redstone Bancorporation, Inc., Commerciant Corp., and Benchmark Hospitality. Mr. Solomon is involved in numerous charitable and social organizations. He serves as a member of Boards of Directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast, Inc., Houston Achievement Place, the Anti-Defamation Leagues Southwest Region and the Houston Chapter of the American Technion Society. Additionally, he is a member of the World's Presidents Organization. Mr. Solomon was honored as National Jewish Humanitarian of the Year in 1997 by the National Jewish Medical and Research Center. He was also honored at the JCC Irvin Kaplan Children's Scholarship Ball in 2005.
