Ole! Chalk up another successful AMIGOS Chili Cook-off. This year's San Antonio, Texas event brought in the crowds even despite the torrential rains. Live music, games and all the Texas chili one could eat was enjoyed by all in attendance. Shelly Miles from News 4 WOAI served as this year's Mistress of Ceremonies and San Antonio Spurs Mascot Coyote dished up fun for the kids. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation helping to fund a $25,000 grant awarded to Dr. Charles Keller (UTHSC-San Antonio). The focus of Keller's work will be on determing the role of Platelet derived growth factor receptor A in Rhabdomyosarcoma -- a form of sarcoma most often affecting children.
